F1’s official site recommends either the Becketts or Stowes grandstands if tickets are available. Becketts is considered one of the best places on any Formula One course to observe – and admire – the skill of the drivers.
Where is the best place to stay overnight to watch the race?
The best place to stay for Silverstone circuit depends on how far you want to commute. The circuit is located about 75 minutes from Birmingham or 90 minutes from London. So if you want to stay in the city – it’s definitely a viable option.
But there are also lots of great places to stay in the surrounding small towns of the English countryside. These include hotels, vacation rentals, bed and breakfasts, and more. Why not step outside the city for a night or two and experience British hospitality? Northampton is about 25 minutes northeast and Milton Keynes is located about 30 minutes east/southeast of the racing complex.

According to the circuit’s official website, you can get there by car, taxi, bus, train & even helicopter! Parking is available on-site for a fee. Please note that the closest train station is located in Wolverton, approximately 16km away.
Flying in? Most international visitors arrive from London via Heathrow Airport (LHR) about 110 km away. For domestic and European travelers, Birmingham Airport (BHX) and London’s Luton (LTN) and Stansted (STN) Airports are also viable options.
