Notre Dame Cathedral Official Site | Tripadvisor Reviews & Information
The Notre Dame Cathedral (or Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris) is a world-famous Gothic Catholic church located on Paris’ Île de la Cité. Built in the 12th century, the cathedral was the inspiration for “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. It also served as the site of several notable French historic moments. The cathedral was heavily damaged by fire in April 2019; reconstruction is ongoing with hopes of re-opening to the public in 2024 (fingers crossed!).
